We don’t stop. Work on the 9th Annual New York Game Awards began a week after our 8th Awards ceremony in January. With 400,000 fans watching on Twitch, the ceremony was our most successful to date – by far. But later, there were numerous questions remaining like, how can we do better for fans next year and how can we showcase the work of the students we serve with our nonprofit?
And where should we hold the next New York Game Awards?
To discuss this, our core group met at an excellent dive in the West Village. As we went over our show run point by point, one thing was clear immediately. The people at SVA Theatre made our very complex event easier with their tech knowledge – and simply by being nice and accessible.
So we’re happy to announce that the 9th Annual New York Game Awards will take place at SVA Theater on 23rd Street for a second year in a row. We can’t wait. In fact, we’re hard at work on new ideas we’d like to implement at the Awards. I think you’ll be pleased with what we have up our sleeves. Stay tuned!
