We are so honored to announce that Stacy Horn will present our Knickerbocker Award for Best Games Journalism at Tuesday’s 14th Annual New York Game Awards at SVA Theatre. Stacy Horn is a renowned nonfiction writer and the creator of ECHO, one of the first internet salons. Back in 1998, I reviewed Cyberville, Stacy’s first book, for The New York Times Book Review and said it was “rife with sagacity and introspection.” 

Since then, Stacy has written a number of compelling non-fiction books, including “Damnation Island” and “The Restless Sleep: Inside New York City’s Cold Case Squad.”

Out on January 28 from “Gone Girl” Gillian Flynn’s imprint will be Stacy’s new book, The Killing Fields of East New York. It’s very much a tome of thoughtful, carefully-written investigative journalism. I’m reading an advance copy now. It’s completely enthralling and, at times, tragic.
