Saniah’s Second Day At Pokémon XP And Worlds

By Saniah Entienne

Today was a super immersive day at Pokémon XP and Worlds. I got the opportunity to participate in an interview with Chris Brown, the Director of Global Esports & Events at The Pokémon Company International, explore many facets of XP fanfest side of things and enjoy some fun interactive activities. Here are some pictures and videos:

This is artwork from the Pokémon Trading Card Game featured on the XP side of the convention. I was able to get a poster autographed by a TCG artist!
Arts and Culture Avenue had a really cool exhibit about Pokémon inspired fashion.
The interactive Lego Pokémon activity was my favorite part of today. I chose Charmander and was able to use a Smart Brick to interact with it. The Smart Brick has many cool functions. For example, when you shake it your Pokémon can make noises.
Before we trained and battled with our Lego Pokémon, we bonded with them by giving them food. They also got the chance to interact with other Pokémon. When we finally battled, my Pokémon won!
In this section of the convention, fans worked together to complete Pokémon puzzles. There were also other collaborative activities like pin trading and playing Pokémon board games from Japan.
Colour Pop had a station where they did Pokémon makeup. I was able to get some Eevee-inspired eye makeup done. I really liked it!
The Aardman Clay Model Making Workshop was an uphill battle. Even by the end, my Pichu would not stand upright. It did not turn out like the picture.
