Saniah Is At Her First Pokémon XP And Worlds!

By Saniah Entienne

Today, I arrived in San Francisco for Pokémon XP and World Championships for the company’s 30th Anniversary. Here is what has caught my eye so far:

This is the main entrance of the Moscone Center. Even close to 7:30 am, it was full of eager fans ready to take in all that Pokémon XP and World Championships have to offer.
The opening ceremony featured a concert by The 8-Bit Big Band and dancers. The band played some Pokémon hits inspiring nostalgia. After the performance, we were welcomed by Mr. Ishihara, President and CEO of the Pokémon Company.
Yerba Buena Gardens is full of opportunities to participate in fun outdoor activities including collecting pins, creating seed balls for local schools, attending storytime and even playing Pokémon Cornhole: Pyukumuku Chucking.
The competition was intense!
The Pokémon crew is very detail oriented. There were tons of Pokémon sprinkled throughout Yerba Buena Gardens. We found Ditto near these flowers.
Sailor Pikachu came to join storytime!
Finally, to top off an excellent day, Harold got the high score in Pokémon Pinball.
