Inside The Circle: Sherri L. Smith And Harold Goldberg Attend The Paley Center Honors

New York Videogame Critics Circle Board member Sherri L. Smith and President/Founder Harold Goldberg attended the Paley Honors last night at Cipriani 42nd Street. The event, presented by the Paley Center for Media, was an elegant but fun affair which honored 100 Years of Hasbro. Speakers included Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, and Alan Hassenfeld, from the third generation of Hasbro’s founders. Chris Cocks, the CEO of the legendary toy and gamer maker, was honored as well.

At our table was the affable Alia Jones-Harvey from MOME, Sonia Park from NYC EDC and Lisa Cortés, the well-known film producer and director. Below are a few photos. Sherri and Harold were there as guests of the Paley Center. Both endeavored to spread the word about our nonprofit Playing With Purpose programs. (Hopefully, Hasbro will come through with some support.)

Sherri and Harold dressed up and took a photo with Furby.
Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime in the Transformer movies, spoke fondly about his work with Hasbro through the years.
Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks spoke about his deep love for Hasbro since age 14, when he designed a Hasbro toy (which ultimately wasn’t made).
The Paley Center’s Frank A. Bennack and Maureen J. Reidy made those who gathered feel welcomed.
Everyone loves burrata. Nicely plated, too.
