Once again, the New York Videogame Critics Circle is happy to announce that Geoff Keighley is coming on board to help with our New York Game Awards Preshow on 2/1/22 at 7:30 PM! As we make the decision to hold our event virtually this time around, we are more than excited to have Geoff help us out!
Geoff Keighley and NYVGCC Founder Harold Goldberg have a lengthy history together. The two met whilst working for Entertainment Weekly magazine and continued to be great friends over the course of 20 years. The relationship they share extends greatly beyond business.
Geoff, whose own Game Awards tops 80 million viewers each year, has consistently been a helpful hand at the Critics Circle, as well as being a pleasure to work with. Not only was he present at many previous New York Game Awards shows, speaking to the Critics Circle interns about their experiences in the NYVGCC. Geoff was kind enough to be a guest in Harold and Reggie’s amazingly put-together podcast.
Geoff’s insistence to help the NYVGCC without receiving a penny is a true indication of how giving he is. It’s not only a sign of the bond he and Harold Goldberg share, but also a testament to how much Geoff cares about the work we do for the youth of New York as a non-profit organization.
You’ll be able to witness Geoff’s appearance — along with all of the NYVGCC — at the New York Game Awards! Make sure to stay tuned for February 1st, 2022!
