I’m really thrilled to present our first New York Videogame Critics Circle Podcast. It’s got a Halloween theme.

How did this happen? After one of our recent panels, CNET’s Dan Ackerman said, “This was a lot of fun. Why don’t we do a podcast?”

Sherri Smith, who also was present for that panel discussion, became very enthusiastic. “Are you kidding? Let’s do it!”

I said, “Definitely. It’ll be fun.”

Dan graciously offered to record it and engineer it after hours at CNET HQ in Manhattan. We recorded it last week.

Man, did we have a blast talking about scary games from present and past. Beyond games even talked about books and Halloween costumes.

In the future, we hope to have a Critics Circle member as a guest for each podcast. That’s over three dozen people. So we’re sure to a lively, creative discussions going forward.
