The New York Videogame Critics Circle is seeking two top-notch interns who are dependable, can answer emails very quickly, and are fearless on the phone.
We need a Social Media Intern who knows Twitter, Facebook and Twitch. This person has to love games, has to be great with people and has to be excellent on the phone. You will interface with our top critics and with some of the best game developers on the planet.
We need an Editor/Writer Intern who can pen do our Roundup Column weekly and do The Interview with game developers occasionally. So you need to have some writing and editing chops. You should be familiar with posting in WordPress, or be willing to learn it.
Both of you may join us occasionally with our In The Schools program at The DreamYard Project and other schools.
Both of you will work on our New York Game Awards show in February, 2017. This includes work with members of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, celebrities, critics and game developers.
And both of you will be called on to help with making phone calls and dealing with game developers.
Pay is in the form of small honoraria. Yet the contacts you’ll make will be invaluable. One of our interns went on to work as a writer on Bungie’s Destiny.
