This week, Nick Capozzoli, our Journalism Committee Chair, met with J Committee members at their favored Greenwich Village spot, Kettle of Fish. No, they didn’t convene to watch a Green Bay Packer football game, for which the bar is known. Nor did they meet to commune with the ghosts of the Beat poets who drank and read at the bar in the 1960s.

They met for a more important matter, to whittle down the many journalism nominees from the very long spreadsheet that Nick had created (with committee input) since last January. As always, there was camaraderie, collegiality, and some healthy arguing as final nominees were considered.

The Circle release the lucky Journalism Award nominees soon. So keep an eye out for that!
