Big New Project At Nintendo

-March 17th 2015

Nintendo reveals that they are working on a new videogame console that is referred to as the “NX.” Our critics hope it is better than the Wii U, which was disappointing.

Nintendo’s Sad Loss

-July 11th 2015

The beloved President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, passes away at the age of 55. He will always be missed by many fans of both his creations and personality. It’s too bad that he won’t see the launch of the next console.

A New President

-September 16th 2015

Tatsumi Kimishima is named the fifth President of Nintendo. He will oversee the new console’s launch, which does not yet have an official name.

There’s A Release Window!

-April 27th 2016

Nintendo announced the NX  will be officially released in March, 2017. Soon, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will soon be delayed as well. Some of our critics believe it’s been delayed primarily to sell more copies of the Switch.

A Brand New Mario

-June 17th 2016

Shigeru Miyamoto, Mario’s creator, has hinted at a new Mario game that’ll be different from the others. The crowd goes wild.

What Will Playing Be Like?

-July 26th 2016

Info about how the console will function, as well as how the NX is a portable console with a dock for connectivity to the TV, has been leaked. So much has been leaked, will there be any more surprises for fans?

A Future Announcement

-October 19th 2016

Nintendo prepares for the grand reveal of the Switch. The console’s official name will be announced on the next day.

It’s The Switch!

-October 20th 2016

The “NX” is now the Nintendo Switch. Our critics agree that it’s a better name than the Wii or the Wii U. The leaked details on the console have officially been proven true, so no truly major surprises for us – except that Nintendo says it expects the Switch to be ready for eSports competitions.

Nintendo Switch Presentation

-January 12th 2017

Nintendo airs their “Nintendo Switch Presentation.” During this presentation, Nintendo announces more information on the console such as pricing ($299), more features and the games coming out for the Switch (including Zelda!). Guess which company is going to start charging for online services?

Nintendo Treehouse And Pre-Orders

-January 13th 2017

Online, Nintendo airs the latest “Nintendo Treehouse Live.” Here, Nintendo takes a deeper look into the various games announced for the Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders also begin.

Also, Bowser is revealed to be the best father ever.

The Press Gets A Look-See

-January 13, 2017

Most of the New York Videogame Critics Circle attend a morning or afternoon event in Manhattan showcasing the new console and games. Our John Azzilonna and Victor Kalogiannis were there. They created a nice video package for The Circle, which will premiere this afternoon.

Available For Purchase!

March 3rd, 2017

Just under two years after its initial announcement, the Nintendo Switch console is available for purchase. Some have trouble finding online and in stores. Will it be the greatest next gen console or not? For me, Nintendo can have all my money.
