For the last year, the New York Videogame Critics Circle has been teaching its Playing With Purpose writing and reviewing class at Brooklyn’s Hudde School. After a 10-class cohort this past semester, middle school student Elisabeth Chery blew past the competition to win a brand new Lenovo Legion 5 gaming laptop.
Elizabeth chose to write about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Wrote Elisabeth, “Legend of Zelda has so many breathtaking sights from the calming plains and horizons to the peaceful villages. Everything is just so beautiful. The animation is amazing and the physics work great. The game makes you feel like you’re entering a new world. You can express your curiosity and everywhere you explore, the sights you see become like memories you don’t want to forget. The place is relaxing and beautiful altogether.”
We want to thank the good people of Lenovo for their kind donation of the Legion 5 and Board member/mentor Sherri L. Smith for making it happen.
