Kimari Rennis’ Heartfelt Post For Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Blog

It’s been a decade! This year marks the New York Videogame Critics Circle’s 10th Year in existence. It’s been our honor to spend half of that time working with underserved youth in the Bronx and Lower East Side. Last week, Sony asked senior intern Kimari Rennis, now an NYU Freshman, to write about her experiences with the New York Videogame Critics Circle. We were touched by the words Kimari penned. And we were so glad to help her, and many other students. along the way. Kimari, along with Ronald Gordon and Isaac Espinosa, have been with the Circle since before we became a non-profit. They’re like family. We’re so proud of all their hard work – along with their big hearts.

Kimari writes:

In the New York Videogame Critics Circle, I am more than a writer. I am an equal part of the Circle community. I am an interviewer, an event goer, a games activist, a panelist, a podcaster, and a powerful voice in any conversation I am a part of. I am more than grateful. My wildest creative dreams were reached in a span of four years and all of them are tied to the New York Videogame Critics Circle.

Please take the time to read all of Kimari’s story.
