It’s true. New York State will likely legalize cannabis for recreational use within the next few months. In anticipation of citizens’ responsible use of cannabis, the New York Game Awards will present the first 400 attendees with a key for the Weedcraft Inc. private beta. Weedcraft Inc, a cannabis strategy game, will be published by Devolver Digital, created by Vile Monarch and written by Scott Alexander. Scott, a former New York Videogame Critics Circle member, will present a Worldwide Weedcraft Trailer Premiere onstage with our comedian host for the night, Devin Delliquanti from The Daily Show With Trevor Noah. The key you receive will go into effect on February 4th, 2019.

According to the Steam description, “Weedcraft Inc explores the business of producing, breeding and selling weed in America, delving deep into the financial, political and cultural aspects of the country’s complex relationship with this troublesome and promising plant.”
